WAV files
A kind of sound file. Wav files are NOT streaming audio.

Web
Abbreviation for World Wide Web (WWW).

Web browser
Same as browser. Software, like Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer, used to view HTML documents on the World Wide Web.

webcast
A live video or audio broadcast transmitted over the World Wide Web. Webcasts can include concerts, radio broadcasts, and other live events. Generally, webcasts are transmitted using streaming video and audio technology.

webmaster
Formal name for the person in charge of maintaining a Web site (though there has recently been a backlash against the term by the webmasters themselves, who prefer Web administrator, Site Administrator, or Content Editor). Personal homepages are not usually said to have webmasters, but rather site authors, site designers, or page builders.
