• Student ventures are bases on a simple idea.  There is no need to get too complicated at the beginning.  Keep it simple stupid and the money will follow. 

• Student ventures generally cost very little to startup and operate.  Remember the idea is to make money, not go even deeper into debt.  For the most part, student business are cheap and cheerful.  Their operating margins are usually high. 

• Student ventures need little time to operate and maintain.  Apart from the dollar cost of operations, time is also a critical component of student ventures.  For the most part, student ventures can be run around the schedule of a student.  This means part time, flexible hours that allows a student to focus on school work as well as business.  

• It seems, by their nature, student ventures are flexible enough to expand as needed. This is a benefit to the owner/operator who may choose to take their student venture on full time upon graduation (or extreme success...which ever comes first!)
   

Student ventures have a valued place in society and often their impact can be felt globally.  Take for example, Microsoft, Dell and Google - they all started as student ventures.  In most cases, as their value became more apparent the owner/operators of these companies simple abandoned school in order to pursue their student venture on a full time basis.  None the less, each one of these massive, world changing companies, started off as a measly student venture.  Each had to fight tooth and nail for acceptance into the market place, but hey, look at them now.
