New real estate investors believe they will be getting a home for way below property value, the home will be easy to resell and they will make a lot of money flipping real estate foreclosures. However, a lot more goes into investigating HUD foreclosures that you would like to imagine. Often, you will be foreclosed to evict the old home owner, you will get the property "as is" and it may need a lot of work, it could be located in a bad area and worst of all you may not even get it for below property value.
