tardive dyskinesia (TAHR-div
dis-kih-NE-zhuh). An abnormal, involuntary movement disorder of the facial
area, trunk or extremities, sometimes resulting from treatment with
certain antipsychotic medications.

tic. An involuntary muscle spasm, usually of the face, head, neck

tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs). An older class of
antidepressants used to treat depression by increasing levels of the
neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine.
