Novo Vitae is a website devoted to the successful treatment of depression. We believe that while depression has many faces, there are just as many treatments that can successfully be used to treat depression.

At Novo Viate, we also firmly believe that knowledge is crucial in overcoming depression. We strive to provide quality and worthwhile information to help people on the road to recovery.

What does ‘Novo Vitae’ mean?

Novo Vitae literally means new life. Coming through depression is an opportunity to explore life with renewed optimism, enthusiasm and vigor. In essence, overcoming depression is living life anew.

Is there one cure for depression?

There is no universal cure for depression. Often, in order to overcome depression, several forms of treatment must be employed. This is primarily due to the complex and unique nature of depression.

Is there one cause of depression?

Just as there is no single universal cure for depression, there is no single cause either. The medical community agrees that there are potentially several causes that may result in depression. In the most general terms, depression is thought to be caused by a combination of physiological, social and genetic factors.


Do you offer counseling or therapy?

At Novo Vitae, we do not offer any counseling or therapy. We feel that due to the complex and diversified nature of depression that all treatments and therapies should be left to trained professionals. Is depression even real? I mean doesn’t everyone have down days?

Depression is a very really illness. It physically alters your brain. It is not simply feeling down.
