Bartending School
You have decided that you want to be a bartender.
You like the lifestyle, you like the environment and you definitely like
the idea of working for cash tips. The question is how do you make
it happen. Plain and simple, if you want to work in a bar, go to
bartending school. I know that the idea of school is kind of lame
but bartending school is really not like any other school I can imagine
- especially if it is an online bartending school.
Bartending school is the fast track to a bartending job. Sure you
can get work in a bar without going to bartending school, but it is much
harder. Moreover, keeping your job once you get it really depends
on how well you can bartend. If you went through bartending
school, your training will help you keep your job.
So, what do you need to know about finding a bartending
school that is right for you? Well, there are a lot of bartending
schools out there. I am sure you have searched online and found
many, many bartending schools in your area. These real world
bartending schools tend to be pricy, very structured and for the most
part, inflexible in terms of location. In other words to attend a
typical real world bartending school, you have to pay a lot of money to
train according to someone else's plan at the whim of someone else's
schedule.
This is not to say that this kind of bartending school is
bad - only less flexible and more expensive. For some people this
type of bartending school is what they are looking for.
Personally, I have a hard time understanding why - but to each their
own...
The other type of bartending school, which is growing
rapidly in popularity, is the online bartending school. A typical
online bartending school offers everything that a conventional real
world bartending school does but with several key advantages.
First, an online bartending school is often much, much cheaper.
Real world bartending schools have to factor expenses like rent, labor
and utilities into the cost of their program - all of which you end up
paying. An online bartending school, on the other hand, has none
of these extraneous expenses and thus can charge much less. In
real terms, most real world bartending schools charge up to $500 for a
training program that can be matched by an online bartending school for
well under $40. Its that big a difference.
Another key difference is that an online bartending
school comes to you, not the other way around. You do not have
spend your time traveling to and from a bartending school. Instead you
can learn the skills you need in the comfort of your own home, from an
online bartending school.
The last major difference between an online bartending
school and a real world bartending school is the fact you can work on
your own schedule; at your own pace. Everybody learns differently
and at a different pace. Why should bartending be any different.
An online bartending school is designed, by its very nature, to flexible
with both lesson plan and progress rate. Learn what you want, when
you want.
The bottom line is that online bartending is by far the
most economical and flexible to get the bartending skills you need.
